책소개

"유엔에이즈계획(Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS)은 2001년 12월 1일 세계 에이즈의 날을 맞아 “에이즈는 지금까지 인류가 직면했던 질병 중 가장 무서운 질병으로 발전했다”면서 현재 4천만 명이 감염된 상태라고 보고했다. 최근 이 문제의 심각성을 점차 인식하게 되면서 사회가 HIV/에이즈를 비롯하여 말라리아나 결핵 같은 위험한 질병들로부터 인명을 구하고 환자들의 고통을 덜어주기 위해서는 효과적인 파트너십을 절대적으로 구축할 필요가 있다는 합의가 이루어지고 있다.
